Shivani Gupta is a Mumbai-based art historian, researcher, and writer specializing in Indian painting traditions, visual culture, and aesthetics. Viewing the world through a lens of patterns, textures, and history, she holds a Master of Visual Arts in Art History and Aesthetics from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. Her passion for heritage interpretation has led her to collaborate on research, documentation, and cultural programming with institutions including the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), Lalit Kala Akademi, INTACH, Sahapedia, and IIT Kanpur. When she is not immersed in archival research, Shivani can be found wandering through historic neighborhoods, documenting patterns in nature, or collecting the textures and details that inspire her writing and understanding of art.
